Project Concept
AcessiBus is an AI conversational agent designed to provide independence and safety for visually impaired commuters. Public transportation is often a major barrier to urban mobility; our project aims to turn complex transit information into a simple, voice-guided experience that helps users travel with confidence.
Our main objective is to bridge the accessibility gap in public transit. We are using Python and the Google ADK to build a system where users can interact naturally via voice to get the information they need about their journey.
Voice-Guided Information: Instead of navigating complex apps, users can ask natural questions about bus lines and arrival times.
By leveraging the Google Maps Platform APIs, the agent processes real-time data to provide clear, actionable transit details.
The ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their visual impairment, can navigate the city bus system autonomously.
