Project Concept: SUS-Twin – Predictive Healthcare Logistics
SUS-Twin is a digital twin and IoT-based platform designed to eliminate the medicine shortages that currently affect over 80% of Brazilian cities. By synchronizing real-time inventory data from local health units (UBS) with an AI-driven predictive engine, the system anticipates desupply by analyzing seasonal health trends and historical consumption. Unlike traditional reactive management, SUS-Twin provides frontline workers with an intuitive dashboard for real-time order tracking and enables a collaborative “solidarity logistics” network, allowing municipalities to remanufacture or exchange near-expiry stocks. This integration of SDG (ODS) 3 (Health), 9 (Innovation), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and 17 (Partnerships) transforms fragmented public health supply chains into a resilient, data-driven ecosystem that saves both lives and public resources.
